The first and most exciting of the activities was of clearly swimming in the river!
Swinging into the river...
Random moments of utter stupidity contemplating foolish ways to get into the river...
And perhaps the biggest hightlight... floating down the river to the bridge!
The moms drove the cars down to collect the men/kids at the bridge and drove them back. It was such fun the next day the moms went and the dads brought the car. Clearly I'm not posting pictures of the women's journey, but I do have these cute pictures...
Joy & Boomer driving in the car back to the campsite...
This is a funny one of the other 'mother' driving a load of kids back with all the floatation devices tied to the top of the car! These kids had it GOOD. We all had a ball!

There were a group of campers near by with TONS of dogs. So, they (dogs) provided hours of entertainment for the kids. I'm sure the campers didn't mind the free dog walkers, either! I had to remind Joy a few times that she wasn't actually a part of THEIR group. Where there are animals, there is Joy!
There were several with four-wheeling vehicles with us, so they went out and found an abseiling location for the kids. It was Joy's first go, and she LOVED it!
No camping trip would be complete without evening fire entertainment. Especially for New Years Eve!
We had sparklers...
Dancers...
There were antibiotics and ear infections, bug bites, oppressive heat, cool breezes, laughter, love and FILTHY FEET...
But as you can see from the pictures, filthy feet = happy kids!
I hope your New Year celebration equaled ours with friends, fun and excitement for the next chapter in life!
Happy 2012
